DESCRIPTION:*Please note the presenter will not be in-person\, but the program will be live-streamed and we will still meet in-person at the North Augusta Community Center to watch as a group* \nPresentation: In this presentation\, Meredith will provide insight into her role as a Landbird Biologist\, with emphasis on the MAPS bird banding station. MAPS stands for Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship and is a nationwide standardized bird monitoring effort used to estimate key demographic parameters and understand which life-cycle stages may be driving population change. \n  \nAbout the Speaker: Originally from Texas\, Meredith relocated to South Carolina in 2024 to serve as the Landbird Biologist for SCDNR. She has spent 14 years working professionally with birds across four states and three countries.
